Considered the healer's stone, peridot is a surprisingly deep and variable shade of green. When I rinsed this cotton, nothing else would do as a name. Perhaps it is a healer's fiber. Cotton is a challenge for many spinners, this one included. Its short slippery staple takes some practice to get to hold together.
